How often have you wished that you took the time to learn more about a particular thing or subject? The truth is education is a continuum. There’s always more to learn. As life rolls along we find education more and more valuable. God planned it that way. He has lots to teach us. Living in the fear of the Lord keeps us learning, and living in His wisdom.
RELEVANCE
I can’t count the number of times I wish I had taken better notes in certain classes or read the material more thoroughly; even better, purchased more books or taken continuing education classes later in life to keep current with certain trends and better certain skills. Have you ever noticed that the medical profession keeps practitioners advancing with continuous seminars? Thank God they do!
Let Solomon’s words provide encouragement and wisdom.
“A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
To understand a proverb and an enigma,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
(Proverbs 1:5-7)
