We have a choice to believe in what we hear and read. God has since the beginning been offering mankind messages of truth in order to live in sync with His ways. If we choose to be deaf to His Word and ignore the messages, we will live in confusion and obscurity; lacking clear understanding of what crosses our path. The day we choose to listen and embrace God’s truth is the day we cross into a new realm of seeing with spiritual vision and discerning truths of the Kingdom of God.
RELEVANCE
Israel was given much truth by God. He chose them as a people group through whom He would reveal His Word and ways. Overall, the people failed to grasp hold of God’s truths, come to the kind of trusting faith God desired and follow His instruction to live in His promises and blessings. He promised, though, the grace of clear vision the day they come to obedience and trusting faith. That grace is for all who come to trusting faith.
“For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in theValleyofVision…” (Isaiah 22:5).
In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book,
And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
The humble also shall increase their joy in the LORD,
And the poor among men shall rejoice
In the Holy One of Israel.
