God Transforms Us to Impart New Vision

We have many questions we bring to God. We want to know why things have to work out a certain way, not the way we would expect or prefer. God has His ways. That’s what faith is about: believing, trusting and walking in a way following the Word bearing witness to our innermost being, as His Spirit bearing witness to our spirit of truth beyond that which we can see. Truly God wants us to see beyond our normal and limited scope. He wants to impart new vision.

RELEVANCE

We like to watch movies on the big screen and go to great sporting events because we like to see things larger than life. God offers us similar experiences: to experience HIM and His largeness of life.

As we engage with God, He trains us to learn His ways. There would be no need for faith if we had all the answers; if we could see all we want to see and know all we would like to know. But He wants us to walk in faith; to stretch us to see beyond life and learn ways beyond us.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
(Isaiah 55:8-9)

God’s ways always point to a greater purpose. He wants us to earnestly seek Him with eyes of faith to discern His purposes. He wants to give us hope. He, therefore, brings before us unique opportunities in which we can participate. Through them, we learn His ways, and to trust Him more.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

REFLECT AND RELATE

When life is a mystery we have an opportunity to seek God, experience God and learn great truths. That’s the joy of the walk of faith. What’s the mystery before you? Is there a giant of a problem in your way? Ask God to see something higher than you.
