We often make things more complicated than they really are. There are some who seem to go deep into philosophy to construct complex orders of things. Approaching God with simplicity of heart can bring truth that can move mountains.
RELEVANCE
The early disciples learned the simple truths David discovered. If they pushed back complex rules of order they would free their hearts to discover the deeper truths of the Kingdom of God. They learned God didn’t operate in the clutter of complexity, but simplicity of truth.
“Who is the man that fears the LORD?
Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.
He himself shall dwell in prosperity,
And his descendants shall inherit the earth.
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant.”
(Psalm 25:12-14)
“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people” (Acts 2:46-47).
REFLECT AND RELATE
If things have become too complex, try to untangle all the loose ends.
Ask God to reveal the hidden truths and remove blockages of vision.
Take a “clutter” inventory. Pray for wisdom in removing unnecessary encumbrances.
