We look for love in people to demonstrate God’s love. Unfortunately, none of us are perfect. If we look for God to reveal His love, however, He will; in more ways than one.
RELEVANCE
There’s a song about a man who was “looking for love in all the wrong places.” We often do that. We also compile lists (often in our minds) of what love is and what it is not so we can identify love when we see it. Here’s a good list for starters: God’s list.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
God is faithful to identify His love. He did in my wife. For that I am grateful.
