The Wisdom and Grace of Accountability

We’ve heard all things come back to us. That’s not the only reason to do good unto others. It’s a primary principle of the Kingdom of God. It’s one way grace and wisdom flows from the throne of God.

RELEVANCE

Solomon shared wisdom from God. He learned that as you bless others by being accountable to them, you ultimately bless yourself as goodness and faithfulness come back in the form of blessings.

“Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit; so he who waits on his master will be honored” (Proverbs 27:18).

Paul experienced the grace of God in many ways. He realized accountability was part of God’s overall principle of reciprocity. He therefore connected the two.

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
