Integrity is something we know God values, but sometimes fall short of living out fully. God does offer grace to walk in integrity. If you find yourself compromising integrity, ask for grace. God knows the consequences and cost of compromising integrity. He seeks to prevent you from paying it.
RELEVANCE
King Solomon was the wisest person of His day. Yet he made some mistakes; some big ones. It eventually cost Israel its inheritance. Israel’s kings perverted God’s justice, fell into idolatry and ultimately were carried away by the Assyrians and Babylonians; until they found grace and were given a second chance. God is all about redemption and restoration. It’s wise, however, to learn the value of integrity and count the costs of forsaking it.
“He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known.”
(Proverbs 10:9)
“Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD,
But a just weight is His delight.
When pride comes, then comes shame;
But with the humble is wisdom.
The integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.”
(Proverbs 11:1-3)
REFLECT AND RELATE
God has given us the gift of a conscience. He has also given us the gift of grace in Christ. He desires we tap into His gifts for our benefit and His glory.
How do you demonstrate that you value integrity?
