God will lead us through the paths of life as we seek Him for guidance. We will make many decisions. Some may lead us down dark paths and bring confusion of soul. Some may lead us down narrow paths, but bring peace. Inevitably, if we seek God and desire truth above all, He will lead us safely along the way. As we place our trust in Him we are assured His security.
RELEVANCE
I’ve often find myself in a confusing situation. Why did this happen…what to do…where to go…who to turn to? Through prayer, the LORD is faithful to provide direction. He may lead me to a specific scripture or place me in a place where I will hear a word that sheds tremendous light on the subject. I may not always like the answer, but it inevitably sets me on a path I need to navigate to get to the place God intends. Through the path, the LORD makes the way safe and secure.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowlerAnd from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”
(Psalm 91:1-6)
REFLECT AND RELATE
Consider the path of your journey in life. Can you see how God has been leading you safely through it? Have their been times of peril or narrow paths to navigate? How did God make the way safe?
