Receive the Lord’s Grace to Overcome Fear

Fear attacks us all. Fear is a brutal master that seeks to rule our lives. Fears such as failure, rejection, shame, loss and death try to rule our minds. The LORD willingly shed His blood to overcome them all, passing on the victory to those who will believe, trust and receive comfort and truth from the Holy Spirit.

RELEVANCE

Having known rejection as a child, the fear of rejection planted a root in my soul. God, through His Son and relentless love, had to persuade and convince me that He loved me more than those who rejected me. I discovered this truth: we must be persuaded this is real. As we are persuaded of this truth, we can live in it. Let the Holy Spirit persuade you through the words of the apostle Paul!

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our LORD” (Romans 8:35-39).

The question you must ask yourself is: Am I fully persuaded, convinced? Allow the Holy Spirit to comfort you and reveal God’s truth.

REFLECT AND RELATE

What things might be standing in the way of you being fully persuaded that God loves you?

Ask the LORD to reveal the MANY ways He loves you. Write them down on paper. Meditate on Scriptures revealing this. Keep a journal and continue recording the ways God loves you until you are convinced you have MORE EVIDENCE that God loves you than you have accusations to the contrary.

Also pray for people filled with God’s love to come along side you and be a reflection of the genuine love of God.
