Realizing Freedom from Guilt and Condemnation

In Christ we have the capacity to be empowered to walk in the Spirit of liberty! That capacity is realized by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit; the enabling power to resist worldly influences and carnal impulses so the LORD’s nature can dominate our thought processes and actions.

RELEVANCE

We realize and walk in this truth as we allow the Holy Spirit to enable us to resist the ways of the world and forces of darkness and receive God’s grace and greater strength. It’s how we appropriate Christ’s victory in our life. We have choices. Let God’s word strengthen and encourage you. Let these scriptures guide you and be your confession.

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:7-8).

“Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 5:20-21).

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).

REFLECT AND RELATE

How much have you been resisting influences of the world?

How do you gauge what is coming from the Spirit of God vs. conflicting source?

How do you discern inside what you should believe?
