We are all vulnerable to shame. We dread confronting our greatest fears and concerns. Sometimes the things we fear most God uses to give us hope and bring about His greatest glory.
RELEVANCE
There was once a young woman betrothed to a man to be married. She was dedicated to him as well as to God under the strict laws of the Jewish culture. The angel Gabriel appeared with news that she was pregnant. So stirred and confused, afraid of shame and severe punishment, she wondered how it could be, since she had been loyal to the vow of purity.
But she heard the words which gave her strength—and not strength unto her alone—but unto millions of people throughout the ages: “He will be called the Son of God…For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment” (Luke 1:35-37 AMPLIFIED).
REFLECT AND RELATE
What things grip you in fear and keep you in turmoil, even despair? Ask God to reveal truth that will encourage you and help you see He can turn the impossible into the possible.
Look to Abraham…look to Mary… Look to God in earnest prayer and supplication! Allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate truth, encourage you and strengthen your faith so you can believe with Him all things are possible.
