One of our biggest tests is integrity. That’s because its one of God’s highest standards. He administers the Kingdom of God based on integrity. What really is integrity? In a nutshell, it’s perfect soundness and uprightness. Jesus modeled it. God acts within such a framework. He, therefore, expects us to value it and walk in it—that we be blessed in it.
RELEVANCE
David, the man after God’s own heart, learned that God operates from a framework of integrity. It’s His nature. If we want to prosper in God and learn the knowledge of God we must learn to walk in the integrity of God.
Who is the man that fears the LORD?
Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.
He himself shall dwell in prosperity,
And his descendants shall inherit the earth.
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant…
…Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For I wait for You.
(Psalm 25:12-14; 21)
“So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands” (Psalm 78:72).
REFLECT AND RELATE
Conduct an integrity inventory. Ask God to reveal areas where you may and may not be upholding high standards of integrity. Then ask for the grace to make adjustments.
