Being Positioned for Overcoming Triumphant Life in Christ

Jesus came as Son of God and Son of Man to represent God to man and man to God. He came as King of kings and eternal High Priest. He faced the devil, ruler of the kingdom of darkness, and the Roman ruler who authorized His crucifixion. Through His resurrection, He conquered the power and authority over sin and death; and gave authority to those who would believe and follow Him in the procession of His eternal triumph. Walking with Him, we position ourselves to participate with Him as He oversees and intervenes in the affairs of life. Truly, He has assignments to delegate to those who are willing to participate and experience the joys of His triumph and overcoming life.
RELEVANCE

Paul, like David, enlisted in God’s army. David fought giants, conquered lands for God and set up a glorious kingdom. Paul fought spiritual powers and took ground for the Kingdom of God by establishing communities of faith and installing leaders who would set the world on fire for God.

Both experienced the full spectrum of pain and joy. They suffered pain and shame, yet also knew the sweet taste of victory. They knew that experiencing victory and defeat worked to build character. Either way, they lived in victory! The issue is being convinced of this truth. Paul addressed this very issue.

“I know what it is to be in want, and I know what it is to have more than enough — in everything and in every way I have learned the secret of being full and being hungry, of having abundance and being in need. I can do all things through him who gives me power” (Philippians. 4:12-13 JNT).

“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love… No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:37-39 NLT).

REFLECT AND RELATE

How convinced are you? Ask God what it will take for you to gain victory in the areas you need victory.
