God is faithful and consistent. He says what He will do and He brings His word to fulfillment in time. Just like there are two keys to every vault—one the bank’s, and the other ours—we must do our part and God will do His part!
RELEVANCE
Every time I read how God faithfully brought the children ofIsraelout from the bondage ofEgypt, directed them through the perils of the wilderness for forty years and gave them success in the Promised Land, it encourages me immensely.
“So the LORD gave to Israelall the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. The LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass” (Joshua 21:43-45).
Even years later, God further brought to fulfillment His promise to establish the people in good success. Hear Solomon praising God as he dedicates the Temple.
“Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to His peopleIsrael, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses” (1 Kings 8:56).
REFLECT AND RELATE
Reflect on what God may be doing in your life to prepare you for His blessings. Can you see God’s purposes, or His process taking shape? Can you see yourself on a path to destiny? Ask God to reveal how you might be better positioned or directed further in next steps.
