As your thoughts are occupied with issues of unforgiveness you allow more than a relational gap between you and an other person. As a result, you create a gap between God and you. How so? Unforgiveness grieves God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit in you. It also limits or stalls God’s blessings. Why? It fractures unity. And where there is unity, the Bible says, “God commands the blessing” (Psalm 133:3).
RELEVANCE
As you think about the time and energy you expend entertaining issues of conflict, blaming or judging others, think of it as sowing seeds into your field. What kinds of harvest—or weeds—do you suppose will sprout up? How will your field look? How will the undesirable harvest affect the good harvest you hope to reap? Ouch!
God desires that we sow with good fruit-bearing thoughts; sowing into possibilities that can bring a fruitful harvest of blessings. God had this in mind in encouraging the children of Israel through Joshua to keep His words and promises at the forefront of their minds; to “meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8).
The apostle Paul also had this in mind and encouraged believers with this powerful word:
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:8-9).
Think about it, good success and God’s favor and peace—pretty good fruit to sow into. May the Lord bless your thoughts with His grace.

Think of your fields in terms of relationships, worthy causes and business opportunities.
What fields can you sow into to produce harvests of blessings?
What do you think connotes thoughts that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtue and praiseworthy?
