Looking to God for Restored Strength and Stamina

God wants to be the source of our strength. He will allow us to succeed to certain measures and accomplish things we hope to accomplish. But He reserves our best for His glory. He, therefore, will allow us to experience drought so we will seek Him for His strength; and be sure to give Him the credit and glory for what He accomplishes through us.

RELEVANCE

After a certain time of success in a particular field I experienced a serious decline. It became a big problem. It brought despair, worry and all sorts of grief. I was in need of a solution. One day, however, in prayer the LORD brought forth a simple but powerful word that gave me a renewed sense of strength: resilience. It sounded simple, but I knew it was from the Holy Spirit because a new sense of hope and energy filled me.

It changed my perspective and the way I looked at the situation. I, therefore, began to approach certain aspects of the business differently. Within a short period of time new opportunities opened up and the LORD took me to a higher level than previously experienced.

He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
(Isaiah 40:29-31)

Keep in mind the Hebrew word for wait here is not a passive word, but active one. So it conveys a sense of being intertwined with God as He brings us through a progressive work. It speaks of being patient through the process.

REFLECT AND RELATE

Ask God for a new view and fresh perspective; a strengthening view. Ask to see things from a totally new angle. He will surprise you. Remain faithful to what He shows you and/or brings to you. Once you soar be grateful and keep humble.
